Kutelka felt like a different place from the mountain I had walked in winter. Up at the top, the scenery had that open, almost alpine feeling. Later, we went down through the forest to the waterholes.
I jumped in. The water was cold, the day was warm enough, and I was very happy with the decision. It became one of my favourite moments since starting to record these outings. I am especially glad I have that bit on camera.
Vesko and Antonia were with me. Along the way, we also met a man on a strong-looking horse, deep in the forest, out looking for other horses. It was such an unexpected little meeting that I wanted to keep it in the story.
This was Entry 20, around six months into the project. Finding the time and energy to keep making videos had not always been easy. Looking back at the memories already recorded made me happy I had kept going.
This day was a lovely one to mark that feeling with: a familiar mountain looking different, good people beside me and cold water at the end.
